What some users of the Guide have said about it.

Many thanks for the feedback we have received from users of the Guide. A few examples are included here.

“Wednesday was Maol Chinn-Dearg and what a cracking day we got walking in shirt-sleeves. We found  the way up very easy to follow and a beautiful walk obviously helped by the weather.   The views were absolutely stunning. It felt very Sound of

Music-like on some of the plateau sections! Not that we’ve done hundreds of walks or Munros but we thought this one was

the best so far. To be so high up and surrounded by mountains on all sides was amazing  — and to be higher than the obligatory fighter  planes on practice was quite something. We followed your directions to extend the walk as the day was so fab.

We lost the track a bit on the way down, it seemed less obvious than the way up but it wasn’t an issue.

Real ale at the  Cluanie Inn was a great end to a fabulous day.”

Isobel F., Glasgow.

“This is an excellent guide, suitable for both novice and experienced walker. The instructions are clear and unambiguous and founded on safety. Ian has produced a most useful book and his support for his chosen charity is commendable.”

Andy W., Plockton.

(Andy was kind enough to test some of the walks and shared this enthusiasm for real ale at the end of a day on the hill. Especially

ale from the Plockton Brewery of which he is the proprietor!)

“....the walk last year was really great — very clear and easy to understand. Especially helpful that it

began with where to park, and …. a section about wildlife that you may see which was nice.”

Rosie S., Cheshire.
